At certain times in the past, opportunities to start Live Schools have come about in different countries of the world, but unfortunately, there was no regional office or leader who could manage or take advantage of those opportunities. In most cases, a Live School Regional Office did not yet exist in those countries.  The Special Operations team was developed early in 2016 as department who can step in to explore these opportunities and launch Live School or make connections in these untapped regions. Usually, the Special Operations team will work in a country for a year to 18 months until a regional office or leader is established and can take over.
