Jim Hartman and Bucky Drake
Jim Hartman and Bucky Drake were both called by God to offer their leadership skills to World Mission Centre in the fall of 2017. They felt the Lord’s call after participating in the launch of the Spanish translation of Live School at a seminary in Guatemala City. Soon after, they began leading, training, and fundraising for the Central America region of WMC.
Their team was blessed as God led them to dedicated Christian men and women who have extraordinary access to Central American countries: Bettie Colson in Guatemala, Barbara Row and Veronica Guererro in El Salvador, Jonatan Picado in Costa Rica, and Harry Hebbertt in Nicaragua. Ron Perryman and his wife Lisa have also joined the Central American team in Columbia, SC. Ron now leads operations in Costa Rica and Lisa is the Central America Prayer Coordinator.
Currently, there are 10 active Live Schools in 4 countries with 60 students in training. The first Live School class graduated in October 2018 from a school in San Salvador. There is renewed enthusiasm in Nicaragua and Costa Rica in 2019 as the team anticipates adding 20 new schools this year.
Recently, Bucky and Jim introduced World Mission Centre and Live School to a group of pastors in Panama. They are now putting together another Pastor Orientation meeting for May of 2019. They hope to conduct Pastor Orientations in Belize and Mexico later in 2019 as well.
