Overview of the conference
Dates: 23 – 25 July 2019.
Venue: Choose Life Church in Pretoria, South Africa
The Running with Horses conference will be held 23 – 25 July 2019 at Choose Life Church in Pretoria, South Africa.
Our international speaker line-up will be made available soon.
The conference will start each morning at 09h00 and end with a celebration each night from 19h00 – 21h00. Lunch and dinner are included in the conference’s cost and will be served at the conference venue.
There will be break-out sessions, each afternoon. The first two days we will break-out into 14 world regions, to allow you to connect with people from those regions.
During the last afternoon, we will have three break-out sessions:
- Local churches and missions
- Business and missions
- The Next Generation and missions.
Registration fee
Registration fee – R1830.00 (Including 15% Vat)
Accommodation
There are 3 options for accommodation:
1. You will arrange your own accommodation
You have family or friends in the city of Pretoria and you are able to arrange your own accommodation, breakfast and transport to and from the venue.
OR
You may choose to arrange your own accommodation at a hotel or guest house of your choice. There are a number of hotels and guest houses in close proximity to the conference venue.
- Please note: you have to arrange your own transport if you decide to stay at a Hotel or Guest House. Payment also needs to be made directly to them.
- Note that we will not supply transport for those who choose this option.
- See the link below that indicates some hotel/guesthouse options. You can also search on Bookings.com or similar search-engine for more guest house options.
- Because of heavy traffic congestion, it is important that you choose a guest house in close proximity of the conference venue.
2. Stay at Pure Joy Guest Lodge with a double bed (for couples) or two twin beds (2 people sharing)
We have booked 170 beds at the beautiful Pure Joy Guest Lodge. The rooms have either double beds for couples or twin beds for singles sharing. Included in the price is accommodation per person sharing, breakfast and daily transport to and from the conference venue.
- The price for this option is R650.00 per person per night sharing. Limited single accommodation is available at R890.00 per person per night.
- The finances for this option will be handled by the conference. Extra lunches and/or dinners at this facility will be for your account and will be added to the final package cost. (Most people plan to arrive on 22 July and depart again on 26 July).
- The final cost will be calculated depending on how many days you plan to stay. This will depend on when your flight, or bus arrives and departs again.
A deposit of R650.00 is payable with your registration fee. This will secure your booking at Pure Joy Guest Lodge.
3. You can share a room with 3 other conference goers at a church retreat centre with shared communal bathrooms
We have also booked a church retreat centre with rooms that sleep four people, each on bunk-beds with communal bathrooms.No single occupancy rooms are available.
- The price is R300.00 per person per day sharing. The fees include accommodation, breakfast and daily transport to and from the conference venue.
- The finances for this option will be handled by the conference. Extra lunches and/or dinners at this facility will be for your account and will be added to the final package cost. (Most people plan to arrive on 22 July and depart again on 26 July).
- The final cost will be calculated and sent to you once you let us know how many days you plan to stay
- A deposit of R300.00 is payable with your registration fee. This will secure your booking at the camp-site.
Travelling to and from the conference
Each delegate expected to pay for and make their own travel arrangements to get to the conference.
If you choose to stay at Pure Joy Guest Lodge or the church retreat centre, we will arrange to pick you up from either the airport or bus station and take you to one of these two venues.
What will the next step be after you have registered?
Once you have registered, we will send you further detailed information in due time about the break-out sessions, giving you an opportunity to choose which one you will attend.
At that time, we will also ask you to give us your travel details.
We will then calculate the final accommodation package costs in order that you can pay it.
