STATS AND WHAT IS GOING ON

East African region comprises of 14 countries as per WMC project definition. It spans from Sudan to the northern part of Mozambique and eastern part of DRC to the Comoros Island on the Indian ocean. Over 330 million people living in the region represent a rich cultural diversity and religious landscape. Christianity and Islam have the highest number of adherents in the region followed by ethno-religionists and eastern faiths. Very few people are non-religious. Although there are over 200 Least and Unreached People Groups in the region, our focus is among 95 of the neediest with a population of about 30 million people. Muslims make 73% of the total population, ethno-religionists 26% and others at 1%. Currently there are 120 live schools from which 1446 students have graduated and planted 210 churches.
