Brent & Michelle Knapton
Brent has always had a heart for missions and to see churches of Jesus Christ established in remote and unreached areas of the world. He is a graduate of Rice University where he double majored in religious studies and mechanical engineering. Brent has years of experience in both engineering and ministry management, leading many people within the workplace and overseas. Brent previously served as the director of Window of Opportunity mobilizing medical, community and evangelistic outreaches. These outreaches resulted in churches planted in Cambodia, Myanmar, China, Nepal, north India, Kyrgyzstan, and Egypt. Brent has served on the board of Light for Living for the past 18 years.
Brent and Michelle will help lead the Live School roll-out in northern India and assist in building the team in this region.
– How did you get connected with WMC?
In 2019 Brent and Michelle were connected to WMC through a mutual friend Eric Elder. We flew out to South Carolina and met with William and Shirley Crew as well as Dick Teed and his family. God confirmed through this trip and assured us that He was connecting our hearts in the accelerated advancement of missions.
– When did you get connected with WMC?
We traveled to South Africa in the summer of 2019 for the Running with Horses Conference and realized through Brent’s many trips to India, that God was knitting our hearts together with WMC to serve with them.
Since that time we have been part of the team taking Live schools and Facilitator Training into North India.
– What is your current role?
Ambassador for India South Asia Regional team leader
– What is your WHY behind what you do?
The reason we serve with WMC is to accelerate the gospel of God’s Kingdom to come to the least reached people groups of South Asia region (India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the Maldives) Our hearts are for these beautiful people to know and grow in Christ.
– Tell us a little bit about yourself and/or family?
Early in our marriage God called Michelle and I to launch Window of Opportunity which is a nonprofit mission/medical group.
For years Brent traveled with doctors and held tent meetings with medical clinics throughout the 1040 window.
Since that time, Brent went back to work in the oil and gas industry in various project management and leadership roles. We live in Hot Springs Village, AR and have four sons; Luke, Erik, Michael and Brock. We have been married over 34 years and we thank God for His many blessings in our family
