William and Shirley, originally from South Africa, now live in Irmo, SC, USA with their two kids, Matthew and Cayleigh.
They have served full-time with World Mission Centre for over 20 years and, this year, William and Shirley was appointed as the new International Team Leaders for WMC. In this role they will lead the team of regional leaders, steward the vision of WMC, and help with policy and decision making. He publicly received this role at the Running With Horses conference in July, 2019.
While shepherding the team of regional leaders, William and Shirley will continue to oversee the operation of the World Mission Centre USA Office and the Live School Development Office. The USA Office is responsible for all media-related projects like social media, documentary filming, and the website, as well as coordinating fundraising campaigns throughout the U.S. The LS Development Office coordinates all curriculum translations (Mongolian, Hausa and Mandarin right now), unit development, and preparing playback units to be sent to the field of the Live School training material.
World Mission Centre now operates in 96 countries in partnership with 2500 indigenous church leaders. Most of these partners use the Live School through which they are collectively training over 24,000 people in 11 different languages as church planters and missionaries. In the past year we are seeing a huge acceleration in new partnerships; more people being trained and more churches planted and there is no sign of it slowing down. It is an exciting time.
As a family, the Crews count it a blessing to be a part of what Gods is doing through this organization and invite others to join them as we all labor in Gods Kingdom.
